Inventory Control Officer (Ref: 230000UY)
Responsibilities
- Manage and control railway inventory items for rolling stock, infrastructure, system-wide or station-based equipment to achieve an optimum balance between stock fulfilment, delivery and stockholding
- Analyse, monitor and control the quality and growth of railway inventory
- Work with stakeholders / users on demand and supply forecast
- Implement and monitor supply chain and inventory solutions / systems / improvement for ensuring railway service quality and continuity/sustainability
- Perform just-in-time delivery scheduling and effective demand forecasting to maintain quality and continuity of spares supply
- Collaborate with stakeholders / users to enhance supply chain efficiency while maintaining check and balance
Requirements
- Higher Diploma / Higher Certificate in Supply Chain Management / Logistics and Transport or a related discipline
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in inventory and supply chain, preferably gained in a transport-related environment
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
- Be conversant with modern inventory control techniques and systems, preferably with sound technical and/or engineering knowledge
