Job Summary:
Seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Mainframe Storage Administrator to be responsible for providing operational support for Storage, Tape and SAN switch management
Preferable to have also work with IBM Virtual Tape and DELL EMC storage hardware and software
Key Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience working with Mainframe Storage management n a z/OS environment including experience with REXX, JCL, TSO/ISPF, RMM, DFSMS, DFHSM etc
- Install, configure, and upgrade Mainframe Storage software and third-party products
- Monitor storage systems for performance and troubleshoot issues
- Work with application teams to provide support storage related issues
- Support 24x7 technical troubleshooting and support including engagement of IBM and vendors for problem resolution and determination
- Familiar with DELL EMC SRDF/GDDR environment with 3 site synchronous and asynchronous replications.
- Able to manage and configure SAN Switch for Mainframe storage using SANAV Software
- Able to manage and configure IBM Virtual Tape for Mainframe storage
- Provide process automation support and maintain SOP documentation
- Support backup/recovery and disaster/recovery planning and testing
- Support periodic system configuration reviews and audit reviews
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
