Job Description for Sales Executive
As a Sales Executive, your primary responsibility will be to drive sales and revenue growth by identifying and pursuing tender opportunities. You will play a crucial role in acquiring new clients, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and ensuring successful tender submissions. Your expertise in understanding client requirements and effectively presenting solutions will contribute to the overall success of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify Tender Opportunities: Research and identify potential tender opportunities by monitoring government portals, online platforms, and industry publications. Stay updated on upcoming tenders, contracts, and projects relevant to the company's services.
- Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Actively prospect and acquire new clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to understand their needs, provide excellent customer service, and explore potential upselling opportunities.
- Tender Preparation and Submission: Collaborate with the operations and technical teams to gather all necessary information, documents, and specifications required for tender submissions. Prepare high-quality and competitive tender proposals, ensuring compliance with tender requirements and deadlines.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and industry developments. Analyze competitors' strengths and weaknesses to position the company effectively and differentiate its offerings in the market.
- Sales Presentations and Negotiations: Deliver persuasive sales presentations to potential clients, showcasing the company's expertise, capabilities, and value proposition. Negotiate contract terms and conditions, pricing, and project timelines to secure profitable business agreements.
- CRM Management: Utilize a customer relationship management (CRM) system to track sales activities, manage leads, and monitor sales performance. Update client information, sales pipelines, and communication records regularly.
- Collaboration and Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless execution of tender projects. Coordinate with technical experts to address client inquiries, provide accurate information, and propose suitable solutions.
- Sales Reporting and Target Achievement: Generate regular sales reports, analyze performance metrics, and provide updates on sales activities, revenue forecasts, and target achievements. Develop strategies and action plans to meet and exceed sales targets.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the tendering or procurement industry
- Strong understanding of the tendering process, including bid preparation, submission, and evaluation
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, demonstrating a customer-centric approach
- Sound knowledge of market research and competitive analysis techniques
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-oriented mindset
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and client requirements
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients or attend industry events
